Betsy Williams

ABOUT
"Betsy Reiser Williams was born in Athens, Georgia and grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and Birmingham, Alabama. She graduated from Duke University with a degree in history, and received a M.A. Ed. in counseling from Wake Forest University. After a career as a counselor in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools and at Wheaton College, she “retired” to stay at home with her children. She and her husband live in Atlanta. Betsy studied painting with Kristopher Meadows for six years. Working exclusively in oils, she enjoys painting landscapes as well as figurative and still life compositions. Her work can be seen at The Honey Bee in Smyrna, Georgia and at Marguerite's on Dresden in Atlanta. She also shows at Anne Neilson Fine Art in Charlotte, North Carolina. She has been included in the Small Works show and the Emerging Artists show at Anne Irwin Fine Art in Atlanta. She has also been part of the Mes Amis Artistes show in Atlanta and the Trinity School Spotlight on the Arts. Her work is in several private collections throughout the U.S. and has been published in Strokes of Compassion by Anne Neilson. "
